Metabolic Health

As the quality and length of the life is increasing metabolic problems are gaining more and more attention. Declined metabolic health is observed up to 35 % of the population1.  Metabolic health is evaluated by following parameters: length of waistline, fasting glucose levels, cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and blood pressure. Unhealthy diet and lack of exercise are the main contributors for declined metabolic health, which can lead to several issues such as insulin resistance and problems in blood circulation.

As we know that high fat and sugar diet are increasing the risk for metabolic problems, there are also substances that contribute to metabolic health. In several clinical studies anthocyanins from berries such as lingonberry and bilberry have been shown to improve metabolic health2,3,4.
