Elderberry Polyphenols
Elderberry (Sambucus Nigra L.) contains high levels of polyphenols such as anthocyanins. These anthocyanins have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and cellular recycling enhancing effects. The European elderberry contains predominantly four anthocyanins, with the Cyanidin- 3-O-sambubioside and Cyanidin-3-O-glucoside as the most abundant anthocyanins in Sambucus nigra fruits.
