Anthocyanins from the Arctic
The Arctic Bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus L.) is one of the richest natural sources of anthocyanins in nature. These polyphenolic components give bilberry its dark purple, almost black color, and high antioxidant content. Anthocyanins are believed to be the key bioactive responsible for the many reported health benefits of bilberry and other berry fruits.
Eevia Health’s offering
Eevia Health extracts the anthocyanins from the berries with green chemistry and then manufactures an extract powder with various standardized concentrations. Although the extraction can reach up to 50% anthocyanin concentration, the highest commercial offer is a 36% concentration of anthocyanin measured by HPLC (Eur. Pharm, USP).
